It's well designed so that you figure out how to play as you play it. But the large majority of people who consider themselves gamers can just hop in and play a hard game, learn it, and overcome the challenges within it. I understand that some people have impediments and need modes suited to them. When you see the boss move over to a certain side of the screen and transform in a certain way, you think 'oh, here comes that part, that means I need to hop up on these platforms', or 'ah, this is the part where he shoots all those things out, I'll focus on dodging instead of attacking here'. It's a difficulty that asks you to learn the game you're playing. You can't progress this way, but it'll help you learn their tricks. Also, you can play the bosses in a simpler difficulty. And if you play co-op you can infinitely bring your partner back from the dead. Additionally, certain weapons are really good against particular bosses, certain charms and items will help people who need a little bit of assistance. You learn the game, and as you learn you will overcome the challenges. It's challenging, but you have a human brain capable of learning, and that's how you play. I know the culture right now makes saying this sound corrupt, but just play it, you don't need to be afraid of a "hard" game.

The last phase's encased flames are such bullshit tho, haha. They always laugh (tho they're relatively quiet so you naturally won't always hear it) and they jump in your direction, so sometimes they'll jump all across the screen and others they'll only do it vertically in a straight line and you won't even need to dodge. Everything else is pretty fair tho.ītw the flames always work the same. It wasn't much of a problem with the dragon boss, but the queen bee one is a nightmare for me because you can easily get in situations where there's no escaping an attack due to there being no platforms around you and it feels cheap. This is one thing that consistently annoy me in this game.

This is one of my favorite games of all time.

Having this in portable form is a dream come true, by the way, I'm so happy with the port. Those were hilariously easy this time around all things considered sooo satisfying. I had already beaten this in co-op back in 2017 and that was kinda nightmarish due to my partner not being particularly skilled lol, but this time it was a particularly smooth experience, with only the queen bee and the giant robot giving me significant trouble.ġ79 deaths in total (yeah that counts as a relatively easy time) and boy did I kick King Dice and the Devil's ass. It may take several tries, but as long as players get used to the mechanics, it shouldn't be too difficult to defeat this boss in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course. That was considerably easier than I thought. The lightning under the floating cloud will also deal damage, so players will need to avoid that as well. Doing so will ensure players avoid taking damage even if they accidentally face the other direction and the Angel's harmless attacks become fireballs.Īlong with projectiles, the Demon can shoot a vertical fire beam that is unavoidable unless players face the other way, forcing it to become an ineffective Angel attack. Dodging every projectile, regardless of whether the Angel or Demon shoots it, also makes it easier to win. Jumping around and moving sporadically can lead to a quick loss, so players will need to be strategic in their movements. The mechanics featured in this difficult boss fight can take a few tries to get used to, but beating the Angel and Demon is reliant on knowing when to swap the two.
